Former Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones says it is “embarrassing” that Welsh rugby’s latest off-field crisis has not been resolved.

The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) is at loggerheads with Scarlets and Ospreys after the two regional sides did not sign the new Professional Rugby Agreement (PRA).

The WRU has announced there will no longer be equal funding for the four professional sides, which include Cardiff and Dragons, with suggestions the governing body is looking to cut a region, something it has not confirmed or denied.

Jones and Wales fly-half Rhys Patchell discussed events with host Lauren Jenkins on Scrum V.

Patchell, who has had recent playing stints in New Zealand and Japan, adds that world rugby is crying out for Wales to get its act together.
