‘Alcohol was the only thing that made me happy’

Professional boxer Tommy Fury has said he turned to alcohol after an injury left him unable to train or compete, ultimately leading to his partner Molly-Mae leaving him.

“Drink was the only thing that made me happy, because I had lost a big part of my life”, Fury told BBC Breakfast.

The Love Island star has now reunited with Molly-Mae and says life with her and their daughter Bambi is better than ever.

His experience is the subject of a new BBC documentary, Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury, which is available on BBC iPlayer.
