Scottish Cup winners Aberdeen have reported a £2m loss for the year to June, after a season without European football but with an increase in player trading profit.
The Dons did not feature in a Uefa competition in Jimmy Thelin’s first season in charge, 2024-25, but have ended up in this term’s Conference League after ending a 35-year wait to win Scottish football’s oldest trophy.
The loss for the previous year was £880,000.
Turnover fell almost £2m to £21.7m, with operating expenses up by almost £2.5m to £26.5m.
Gains on disposal of players’ registrations neared £5.3m, up from £1.3m.
North Macedonia striker Bojan Miovski, now with Rangers, was sold by Aberdeen to Girona for a record £6.8m during the accounting period.
