University of Warwick student’s Traitors win would be ‘cool’

A PHD student appearing in the latest series of Traitors, is being “true to herself” on the show, fellow students say.

Jade Scott, who is studying at University of Warwick, is one of 22 people selected from across the UK vying to get their hands on £120,000, in series four of the hit BBC show.

Year three students Ethan Jessamy and Jenny Gauchan know Scott from her time as their labs assessor on campus.

Jessamy said her work ethic could help her on the game show, adding: “She seems quite serious, quite focused, because she’s the assessor in the labs. When she comes around and she helps us and she’s always observing and that. So that could play into her favour a little bit. “

Scott is currently doing research into women’s health and pregnancy at the university and applied for the show after playing similar video games in her spare time.

Gauchan thinks the version of their labs assessor Scott is portraying on the show is not too far from the kind of person they know her to be.

“I mean, she stays true to herself. And she’s not afraid to say what she wants to say at the same time. So, I think that would be helpful,” she said.

Jessamy is rooting for Scott to win and thinks it would be great publicity for the university.

He said: “I mean, it would be nice, yeah, someone, you know, around campus, you know, Warwick, one, somebody’s won the Traitors, yeah, that’d be amazing, yeah,” he added.
