Swansea legends Leon Britton and Joe Allen joined the club’s coaching staff on a temporary basis following the appointment of Matos as successor to Alan Sheehan last month.

The duo are set to make way for Medeiros, Matos’ number two at Maritimo, as well as coaches Mendes and Ricca.

Long-serving Swansea coach Kristian O’Leary is expected to remain on the new-look staff alongside head of goalkeeping Martyn Margetson.

“It should be good [when the appointments are made],” Matos added.

“It’s always good when you can have the full support of your staff and to have an idea as well to improve the club in all departments.

“I think that’s what we as a club decided to do as well. We’re really pleased how it has been so far and we will make it in a better way I think.”

Swansea are 18th in the second tier after successive home wins over Oxford and Portsmouth.

Matos says he has a fully-fit squad for the Swans’ trip to eighth-placed Stoke on Saturday.
