Wrexham will hold no fear for Cardiff City in their all-Welsh EFL Cup tie, says Bluebirds forward Callum Robinson.
Championship Wrexham and the League One Bluebirds have been drawn together in the fourth round, setting up a first meeting between the clubs for 21 years.
Although Wrexham are a division higher than Cardiff, the opposite was true as recently as last season, before Robinson and his team-mates were relegated from the Championship and the Hollywood-owned north Wales club were promoted from League One.
But the Republic of Ireland international, who scored one of Cardiff’s goals in their third-round win at Premier League side Burnley on Tuesday, is bullish about his team’s chances.
Asked if Wrexham will start next month’s match as favourites, Robinson said: “No, not really. I don’t think. I think the way we’ve started the season, we’re in a positive mindset which was shown on Tuesday night against a top team. And it’s shown throughout the season.”
