Hospital baby death crash case held up by woman’s heart attack

A woman who killed an eight-month-old after crashing her car into the baby’s pram has had her sentencing delayed after suffering a suspected heart attack.

Mabli Cariad Hall, from Neath, died four days after Bridget Curtis’s car hit her pram outside Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in June 2023.

Curtis, 70, from Begelly, previously admitted causing death by dangerous driving.

She was due to be sentenced on Friday, but was taken ill on the morning of her hearing and is now being treated at the same hospital where the fatal crash happened.
