Yellow warning for snow and ice across NI

Icy patches will develop on untreated surfaces as temperatures drop below sub-zero.

There is also a risk of grit being diluted and less effective due to wash off from passing showers.

Drivers should take care and allow extra time for journeys.

Met Éireann has issued yellow level warnings for snow and heavy rain across Cork and Waterford and ice warnings elsewhere across the island.

Further weather warnings will follow this weekend across the island ahead of Storm Bert, the second storm of the season 2024/2025.
