Campaigners have called for action after hundreds of drink bottles and cans were removed from Yr Wyddfa.
Teams from the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), Trash Free Trails, Plantlife Cymru, Cymdeithas Eryri and Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri got together over the weekend to remove the waste.
Rubbish was removed from the popular Miner’s Path route, as well as from the Trinity Wall gullies, a popular climbing face on the mountain.
Plastic water bottles were the most removed, with energy drinks and alcohol cans closely following.
Campaigners are now calling for the introduction of a Deposit Return Scheme for bottles and cans.
The Deposit Return Scheme, external will see people pay a deposit when they buy a drink that is part of scheme, which they will get back once the empty bottle is returned.
The Welsh government said the aim of the scheme is to move away from throwing away items and to improve the quality and quantity of recycled material collected.
Campaigners said the items removed from Yr Wyddfa would be covered by the scheme.
