A 70-year-old woman who died in a hit-and-run incident in Renfrewshire on New Year’s Eve has been named.
Elizabeth Kennedy, from Paisley, was struck by a white car on the town’s Barrhead Road near the junction with Ladykirk Crescent and died at the scene at about 19:00.
The driver fled and detectives have appealed for information to help trace them.
Detective Inspector Jan MacColl said: “Our thoughts are with Elizabeth’s family, friends and everyone affected by this tragic incident.
