A woman was taken to hospital after a power bank went on fire at an Aberdeen cinema.

Police were called to Cineworld in Union Square at about 19:55 on Saturday following a report of a small battery pack exploding.

The force said the complex was evacuated as a precaution but there was no wider risk to the public.

A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries and taken to hospital. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four appliances and a height vehicle.
