Woman in critical condition after mobility scooter hit by a car

A 58-year-old woman has been left critically injured after her mobility scooter was hit by a car in Glasgow.

Police were called to Main Street between Church Street and Edinburgh Road in Baillieston around 14:00 on Friday and the road was closed for five hours.

The woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and her condition is described as critical.

A 77-year-old man who was driving a white Ford Fiesta was taken to hospital for treatment on minor injuries.
