Woman dies after being hit by Tesco delivery van

A woman has died after being hit by a Tesco delivery van.

The driver, aged 33, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the crash on Garth Hill, Bangor, and remains in police custody.

Emergency services including the air ambulance attended, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead.

Her next of kin and the coroner have been told.

Roads were temporarily closed while officers investigated, but have since reopened.
