A woman who died in Edinburgh on Tuesday following an incident with a weapon has been named locally as 78-year-old Margaret Parker.
Emergency services were called to a house in the city’s Fernieside Crescent about 08:25 and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland said the matter was “an isolated incident.”
A 36-year-old man has been arrested over the death and inquiries continue.
