Who is the BBC’s new director general?

A former Google executive has been confirmed as the BBC’s new director general.

Fifty-seven-year-old Matt Brittin, ex-president of Google’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations, will replace Tim Davie who announced his resignation in November after a storm over how Panorama edited a speech by US President Donald Trump.
