Good morning, North Carolina! Here’s what you need to know today.
Your Weather Planner
After an ice storm over the weekend, roads are still a mess in many parts of the state. Several locations ended up with more sleet than expected and less freezing rain, limiting the number of power outages, but travel will remain tricky today.
Temperatures will peak in the 30s and 40s at the warmest point of the day for most of the state with 20s in the mountains, but most will have a wind chill near or below freezing during the afternoon thanks to strong winds.
Arctic air will settle in tonight with lows in the single digits and teens apart from the coast where we’ll drop to the 20s.
