Watch as motorcyclist hits 120mph in police chase

This was the moment a motorcyclist was brought to a stop while driving down one of Cardiff’s busiest roundabouts the wrong way as he tried to evade police.

Paul Desmond Kelly had initially pulled over to the hard shoulder of Eastern Avenue in Cardiff when signalled to do so by South Wales Police in March 2024.

But as officers pulled in behind the 43-year-old, he once again sped off, overtaking other motorists and reaching speeds of up to 120mph (193km/h).

Kelly, from Cardiff, pleaded guilty to driving without due care attention, failure to stop for police, and driving without a valid test certificate and was banned from the roads for 12 months and fined £200, South Wales Police said.
