Watch as honey-loving Devon bears meet new playmates

Two brown bears who became famous after escaping their enclosure to steal honey are being slowly introduced to a pair of new playmates.

On Thursday, the siblings at Wildwood Devon, Mish and Lucy, had their first meeting with the Syrian brown bear twins Malenky and Nanuq.

Head of bears at Wildwood Trust Jon Forde, said the first meeting went well and they would be watching carefully to ensure the bears had not been hatching any more “escape plans”.

Wildwood Trust said the meeting was filled with vocalisations and interactions and there were more play dates in the pipeline.
