Warwickshire have extended the contracts of Rob Yates, George Garton, Vansh Jani and Zen Malik for another two years.

“Rob has been with the club a long time now and is an asset across all three formats,” said Warwickshire head coach Ian Westwood.

“Zen has shown his qualities over the last two years and that he has the willingness to keep improving.

“George continues to show signs that he can play a big part and Vansh has such a high ceiling. We’re excited to see how far he can go with us.”

Opener Yates, 26, has hit 4,547 first-class runs, including 15 centuries, since making his first-team breakthrough in 2019 – but he has also increasingly been used as an off-spinner both in red and white-ball cricket.

Former England T20 all-rounder Garton, 29, who signed from Sussex ahead of the 2025 season, hit his maiden Bears century in the One Day Cup against semi-finalists Notts in July, but has been hampered by injury.

Stoke-born Malik, 28, who agreed his first contract in 2024, enjoyed his best performance in a Bears shirt when he plundered 99 off just 46 balls to win the Bears-Pears T20 derby with Worcestershire at Edgbaston in June.

Middlesex-born Jani, 21, has made a breakthrough this summer, hitting 394 runs – including four half-centuries in eight innings – in the One-Day Cup.

After finishing fourth in both their One-Day Cup and T20 groups, third-placed Warwickshire resume red-ball action on Thursday with a County Championship home game against Sussex at Edgbaston.
