A man who was distracted while putting his wheelchair back in his car had £4,000 stolen just minutes after he had withdrawn it from a bank.
Cheshire Police said the “vulnerable” man withdrew the cash from Barclays Bank on Market Gate, Warrington, at about 11:30 GMT on 14 October before returning to his car on Legh Street.
An unknown woman began talking to him while he was putting his wheelchair away, the force said, with a second woman then stealing the cash from inside the vehicle.
The force has also released CCTV images of three women they would like to speak to as part of their investigation.
