Video shows the moment a former New Zealand rugby player performed the haka in a city centre pub.
Zinzan Brooke, considered an All Blacks legend, and several other men were seen taking part in the ceremonial dance during an open mic spot at The Louis Marchesi in Norwich on Wednesday.
The haka is a pre-match ritual for the All Blacks, combining chanting and stomping.
It was at centre of controversy this week when England prop Joe Marler said it “needed binning” before apologising for his “poorly articulated” post.
Brooke referred to Marler’s comments before launching into the performance at the pub.
Joe Durant, 32, who was in the pub at the time, said: “I noticed a group of large men walk into the pub, most having to duck under the door as they entered.
“Turns out one of them was former New Zealand international Zinzan Brooke.
“It was amazing to witness the haka performed up close. It was an amazing surprise.”
