Victor Wanyama set for reunion with former Celtic boss Neil Lennon at Dunfermline

Former Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama is set for a reunion with his former manager Neil Lennon, as he closes in on a return to the Scottish game with Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.

The Pars have confirmed they are in advanced talks to sign the 33-year-old Kenya international, who is currently undergoing a medical.

Wanyama had two years at Parkhead between 2011 and 2013 before a £12.5m move to Southampton.

He then moved to Spurs in 2016 before joining Canadian MLS side CF Montreal.

Lennon took over at East End Park this week and faces Scott Brown’s Ayr United on Saturday, a match for which Wanyama could be available if the deal goes through and he’s fit to play.
