US President Donald Trump voiced his frustration in the press room after the US Supreme Court struck down global tariffs, which went into effect last year. In its ruling, the Supreme Court said the Trump exceeded his authority in imposing sweeping tariffs through a law reserved for a national emergency.

The president said that in an effort to “protect our country”, he will charge more under other statutes, and announced he’s signing an executive order to impose a 10% global tariff using section 122, which was created by the 1974 Trade Act.
