Gerard Trojanowski, 44, died following the crash on the A40 in Carmarthen on 28 July.

As Dyfed-Powys Police officers reached the scene, reports indicated several vehicles had crashed with the pedestrian, including a marked police car that was being used for a routine patrol.

The force described it as a “six-vehicle” crash.

Trojanowski’s family described him as a “loving husband and father”.

They asked for privacy, adding Trojanowski would “always be in our memories”.
