Bristol Rovers winger Luke Thomas and defender Tom Lockyer are to leave the club following the conclusion of the season.

Thomas signed in 2023 on a three-year deal having previously been at the Gas on loan when they gained promotion to League One a year before.

The 27-year-old has made 158 appearances for Rovers in total, scoring 13 goals, including two in the league this season.

Lockyer signed for Rovers in October as he made his comeback to football, two years on from suffering a cardiac arrest during a game for Luton Town.

The 31-year-old Wales defender, who began his career with the League Two club under previous manager Darrell Clarke, played 16 games but only five since February under replacement Steve Evans.

Additionally, Luke Southwood, Taylor Moore, Isaac Hutchinson, Josh McEachran, Kamil Conteh, Macauley Southam-Hales and Jed Ward all remain under contract but are available for transfers or loan deals, a club statement said.

Hutchinson has returned to the Memorial Stadium after an outstanding spell on loan at Cheltenham Town, earning himself a place in the League Two team of the season.
