Gregg Wallace has said he is “deeply sorry for any distress” caused, after 45 allegations about his conduct on MasterChef were upheld.

In a statement to the PA news agency, the TV presenter added he “never set out to harm or humiliate”.

The upheld claims, which followed his dismissal from the show, include one of unwanted physical contact and three involving being in a state of undress.

BBC culture reporter Noor Nanji takes a look at when the allegations were first made and what’s happened since.
