A cycling club that has taught hundreds of women to learn how to ride a bike says “age is no barrier”.

Hamstead Pavilion Cycling Club holds lessons every week in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham, to make the activity more accessible to the community.

Sam Sahdra set up the group in 2017 to share her skills with others after learning how to cycle at 61.

“I wanted the community, especially ladies, to feel how I felt when I learnt to ride and I wanted to give that back to the community,” Ms Sahdra said.
