A man who can skim a stone for 157m (515ft) has proved exactly what he can do on the water.

Phillip Bloxham, from Pembrokeshire, is on his way to Argentina to judge in the country’s first championship in the sport.

Phillip spent a large part of his childhood skimming stones, but was told he was skimming like a champion while on holiday in Devon in 2022.

It spurred him on to research the sport, and seeing the Welsh championships were coming up he decided to enter – going on to place second.

Word of his skills has now travelled to South America, where he has been invited to help judge the championships, taking place in Patagonia.
