The cows being milked by robots at a Gloucestershire farm

Cows are now being milked by a robotic arm at a farm in Gloucestershire.

Hartpury College has installed the system that allows the animals to be milked when they want, which can happen around three times a day.

The students at the college are being taught how milking robots are used in the farming industry to prepare them for future jobs.

Bryan Carter, the herd manager at Hartpury College and Hartpury University, said the cows are much happier since the milking robots were installed in September 2024.
