Ten people in hospital after Edinburgh flat fire

Ten people have been taken to hospital after a fire at a block of flats in Edinburgh.

Emergency teams were called to the ground floor property on Niddrie Mill Crescent at about 18:30 on Wednesday.

Three fire engines and a height vehicle were sent by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and remained at the scene until about 22:00.

The people were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Their condition is unknown. Police Scotland said inquiries into the cause of the fire were ongoing.
