The collision happened at the junction of Blackness Road and Elliot Road in Dundee

A 17-year-old boy has been seriously injured after a collision between his e-bike and a car in the west end of Dundee.

The incident happened at about 00:35 at the junction of Blackness Road and Elliot Road.

The 17-year-old male pillion passenger of the e-bike and the occupants of the black Volkswagen Polo were uninjured.

The road was closed for about six hours as a result of the incident.

The e-bike passenger was later arrested in connection with an unrelated matter.

Sgt David Farr said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please contact us.

“In addition, anyone who was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage which may assist is asked to get in touch.”
