Teenager denies stabbing woman to death outside pub in Leith

Ms Davidson, 33, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but died as a result of her injuries a short time later.

The teenager, who cannot be named, is alleged to have been wearing a mask and shouted threats at Ms Davidson before carrying out the attack.

He is then accused of going into a toilet cubicle in a Tesco store on nearby Duke Street with “a view to altering” his appearance.

Other accusations he faces include charges that he had a knife “without lawful authority” on the date of the alleged killing and the following day in the Saughton Road area of the city.

Lord Arthurson set a trial scheduled to begin in October this year.
