Swansea City transfer news: What could Championship club do before deadline?

As the Championship’s leading goalscorer, Zan Vipotnik is sure to be attracting attention from elsewhere – and Matos acknowledges as much.

“I think it’s always normal that interest can come, with clubs asking,” he said.

“I think that’s happens not only with us but with every club, [but there is] nothing that is major to say.”

There is a big difference, of course, between clubs making enquiries and deals being struck.

Swansea are under no pressure to sell in this window and there is no suggestion that Vipotnik is pushing through a move.

Nevertheless, Matos accepts there are no guarantees over his key players given that offers could arrive.

“There’s so much movement in the market all the time,” he said. “You never know with the amount of clubs who have the financial possibilities to come and buy a player, where [a deal] is also a financial advantage for [Swansea]. We never know what can happen.
