Swansea have been looking to offload Benson throughout this transfer window after his disappointing spell at the Championship club.
He arrived on a deal until the end of the season on the final day of the summer transfer window, but he has had almost no impact in Swansea colours.
The 28-year-old has made only eight Swansea appearances – including just one league start – and is now in line to join Maccabi Haifa.
Matos, meantime, says Ethan Galbraith is available for Saturday’s trip to Watford having returned to full training on full Thursday.
The Northern Ireland international was withdrawn at half-time at Hull City last weekend due to an ongoing knee problem.
Ishe Samuels-Smith could also return to the Swansea squad at Vicarage Road after a groin injury.
