Sunbury: Body found after search for man missing in Thames

Police searching for a rower who went missing in the River Thames have recovered the body of a man.

The missing man, in his 60s, entered the water near Sunbury Lock, Surrey, on 11 October when a boat capsized.

Five other people were rescued.

Formal identification of the body, found near Sunbury Weir, has yet to take place, but the family of the missing man is being supported by a specialist officer, Surrey Police said.
