Strictly Come Dancing star Lewis Cope has been surprised with good luck messages from his former school and a dance academy in Hartlepool.
The 30-year-old actor, who is partnered with Katya Jones, told BBC Radio Tees that he feels “super lucky” to have his hometown’s support as he prepares to appear at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.
One student from English Martyrs in Hartlepool said it was “amazing to see someone from the same school on such a huge stage”.
Lewis and Katya were second on the Strictly leaderboard in week eight.
