Storm Darragh: Wind closes QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing

The QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing has been closed due to strong winds from Storm Darragh.

Southbound traffic on the A282 is being diverted through the east bore tunnel, while northbound journeys have a height restriction of 4’8m on the west bore tunnel diversion.

Vehicles over this height must seek an alternative route on the clockwise M25, said National Highways.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind in the South East until Sunday, while areas in the South West and Wales have been given a red warning.
