Skye’s Michelin Star restaurant to shut after 10 years in business

Skye’s only Michelin Star restaurant is set to close later this year after more than a decade in business.

Loch Bay, run by Michael and Laurence Smith, opened in 2016 in Stein and specialises in local seafood.

The couple said the success of the restaurant had been down to their “incredible staff, their suppliers and the local community”.

The Smiths said the Loch Bay, which won its Michelin Star since 2017, would close at the end of October.
