Sheep killed after lorry crashes off A920 in Aberdeenshire

The crash happened on the A920 Boghead to Moray road

Several sheep have been killed after a livestock transport lorry crashed off a rural road in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened on the A920 Boghead to Moray route at about 09:15.

Police Scotland said “a number of sheep” died in the crash, which did not involve any other vehicles. The male lorry driver was not injured.

Rows of dead sheep could be seen at the roadside while a crane was called in to recover the lorry.

Police closed the road during the operation and asked drivers to avoid the area.
