Several people treated for carbon monoxide poisoning in Cornwall

Several people have been treated for carbon monoxide poisoning following a “serious incident” at a property in Cornwall.

The leak happened at Creakavose Park, St Stephen, on Saturday at about 19:30 BST, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to enter the property and to make the scene safe. Police and ambulance went to the scene and paramedics “treated several casualties”, the fire service said.

The fire service called it a “serious incident”, and said police would advise about the casualties. Devon and Cornwall Police has been contacted for comment.
