Serial Swindon fraudster jailed again for using stolen identities

Investigating officer DC Rachael Fairbairn said Robertson showed “a continued commitment to criminal activity”.

She said: “Robertson’s offending is not victimless.

“There are real people who have had their identities stolen by Robertson and used for his offending.”

She said there were steps people could take to protect themselves, such as using strong passwords, using two-factor authentication and checking credit reports.

Robertson pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by false representation, two counts of breaching a Serious Crime Prevention Order, possession of articles for use in fraud and transferring criminal property.

When released, he will be under a five-year order restricting digital devices, phone numbers and bank accounts along with rules on gambling and a requirement to attend a gambling support service.
