Second conspiracy to murder charge over Coventry shooting

Officers have urged anyone with information to contact West Midlands Police

A man has been charged with conspiracy to murder following a shooting in Coventry.

Police have been investigating after a man sustained gunshot injuries in Far Gosford Street on 13 September.

Nicholas Buckley, 35, of Coventry, was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday for a first hearing, said West Midlands Police.

A 31-year-old man was previously charged with conspiracy to murder in relation to the incident.

The force added it was also a questioning another 35-year-old man, who was arrested by North Wales Police on Friday on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police said the victim continued to recover from his injuries and inquires into what happened were ongoing.

Anyone with information was urged to contact police.
