Second body found in search for kayakers missing in north Wales

A second body has been found following a search for two missing kayakers who were last seen in north Wales more than a week ago.

The body of Simon Wilson was found in the sea near Llwyngwril, Gwynedd, at about 19:20 BST on Tuesday 28 July.

He was one of two men reported missing on 21 July. The pair were last seen near the beach off Hafan Y Môr holiday camp in Pwllheli at 18:30 and were believed to be heading towards the sea with inflatable kayaks.

The body of the other missing man, Connor Parfitt, was discovered on a beach in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, on 26 July. Wilson’s family and the coroner have been informed.
