BBC Scotland begin this season’s Scottish Cup coverage with an East Ayrshire derby as Auchinleck Talbot and Cumnock Juniors meet in the first round.
The match at Beechwood Park will kick-off at 19:45 BST on Friday, 26 September.
Only a mile-and-a-half separates the teams, with the fierce rivalry rooted in the area’s coal mining heritage.
Auchinleck beat Haddington Athletic 4-0 in the tournament’s second preliminary stage, while Cumnock were 4-2 winners away to Dunbar United.
Auchinleck have lifted the Scottish Junior Cup a record 14 times and Cumnock have enjoyed three successes in that tournament, but this will be their first Scottish Cup meeting.
These days, the pair fight it out in the West of Scotland Premier Division, with Auchinleck runners-up last season and Cumnock seventh.
This term, Auchinleck are the early pacesetters with seven league wins from seven, as Cumnock sit ninth after just two victories.
