Scotland to face Australia in T20 series in Edinburgh

Australia will visit Scotland for a three-match T20 series this September.

The matches will take place at the Grange in Edinburgh from 4-7 September before Australia to go on to face England the following week.

The sides are set to go head to head at the T20 World Cup on Sunday as Scotland aim to reach the Super Eights for just the second time.

Trudy Lindblade, Cricket Scotland chief executive, said the series would round off a “momentous summer”.

“It’s fantastic to have this home series to look forward later in the summer, which should be a treat for all our supporters,” Scotland captain Richie Berrington said.

“I was fortunate enough to play in the Scotland side when Australia last visited 2013, and although the result didn’t go our way that day, it was a tremendous occasion to be part of.”
