Scotland eased to a seven-wicket victory over Namibia, reaching the 75-run target in only 8.4 overs, in their latest game at the Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy in Bangkok.
The Scots lead the table – the only side to win all four of their matches so far – with Namibia at the bottom of the eight sides taking part with one win and three defeats.
Having decided to field after winning the toss, Scotland took the first two Namibia for only three runs.
Only Mekelaye Mwatile (15 not out) and Edelle van Zyl (12) managed double figures as Namibia were all out for 74.
In response, the Scots were 21 for two after the loss of opener Ailsa Lister and Ellen Watson.
Opener Darcey Carter, the top scorer in their previous three matches, was dismissed for a relatively modest 21 this time, but by then the Scots were only four short of Namibia’s total.
Captain Sarah Bryce did most of the damage this time, her 36 not out including seven fours, before Megan McColl sealed the match with a six from her second ball.
Scotland next face Papua New Guinea, who beat the Netherlands by eight runs to record their second victory, on Wednesday.
