The judgement in the Sandie Peggie tribunal is to be amended following complaints that a quote was used in it was “made up”.

On Monday, an employment tribunal outlined four ways in which NHS Fife harassed Ms Peggie after she was suspended from her job as a nurse in a row over trans women using single-sex changing rooms.

The verdict dismissed all other allegations against the health board and all claims against Dr Beth Upton – who is a trans woman. However, the campaigner Maya Forstater claimed on social media that a quote used in the ruling – attributed to her 2021 tribunal – was never used there.

A judicial office spokesperson confirmed to BBC News that an amended version of the judgement is expected to be available later.
