England back row Sam Underhill has signed a new contract with Bath until 2028.

The 29-year-old has made 117 appearances and scored 20 tries since joining the club from Ospreys in 2017.

Underhill, who has 49 England caps, becomes the ninth player to sign new terms with the Somerset club in the past month.

“Bath has very much become home for me, my wife and our son,” he said.

“It’s a brilliant club, and city, full of wonderful people.

“I feel incredibly grateful to be able to continue my journey here and look forward to what the future holds for us.”

Underhill was part of the Bath squad that ended a 29-year wait for a Prem league title last season.

He has made 12 appearances for the club this season and is currently on England duty at the Six Nations, where he has featured in all three games so far, scoring one try.
