Rob Burrow: Tributes left outside home of Leeds Rhinos

Drone footage filmed at Headingley Stadium shows the extent of tributes left for Rob Burrow since the rugby league legend’s death.

The former Leeds Rhinos player, who lived with motor neurone disease (MND) since being diagnosed in late 2019, died on 2 June aged 41.

Burrow played for the Rhinos throughout his career and won eight Super League Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges and two Challenge Cups.

After his diagnosis he raised more than £15m for MND charities alongside his close friend Kevin Sinfield.

The rugby shirts and other mementos left outside the stadium will form a permanent tribute to him.

The club said it would make a decision with Burrow’s family exactly how to use the shirts and other items.

All the tributes would be photographed and put into a book, copies of which would go to the family, the side added.
