Rhys Henry: Prop signs Ospreys contract extension

Ospreys tighthead prop Rhys Henry has signed a new contract with the region.

Henry made 44 appearances for the Ospreys having made his debut during the 2021-22 season.

The 26-year-old won nine caps for Wales at Under-20 level and is a product of Cwmafan RFC.

“This team means a lot to me, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of being here since I started my career at the Ospreys,” Henry said.

“I’m looking forward to coming back next season and giving my all for the club and the supporters.”

Ospreys head coach Mark Jones said the region had “high hopes” for Henry.

“Quality tightheads are a rare commodity in Wales, but we believe he has the potential to firmly fit into that category,” Jones said,
